    Ergon Energy Network and Energex as part of Energy Queensland group, connect and supply electricity to 2.3 million customers

    in Queensland, across a 1.7 million square kilometre geographic patch, with around 220,000 kilometres of powerlines, and 33

    stand-alone power stations.

     

    Our distribution networks, which are part of the National Electricity Market (NEM), are regulated by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). The regulator determines the revenue we are allowed to collect from customers for their use of the networks.

     

    Energy Queensland consists of Energex, Ergon Energy Network, Ergon Energy Retail and a number of other businesses, who power communities from Tweed Heads up to the Torres Strait and from Brisbane across to Birdsville. Our role is to make energy affordable for our communities and customers. We are an energy business that seeks to build strong connections and have a positive presence in the communities we serve.
