Our people are at the heart of what we do and creating diverse and meaningful careers for our people is paramount.

Experience Counts

With generations of expertise behind us, we’ve grown to be at the forefront of dairy innovation providing more value to consumers and we will be for the generations to come.
Our name says it all. Fonterra means ‘spring from the land’ which is where it all begins and where our future lies.

Our Values

We are all writing Fonterra’s story.
As individuals, we are shaped by different cultural, professional and personal experiences.
Our shared values enable us to combine our personal strengths with those of others to make Fonterra stronger, better, more innovative and more successful.
We could write a novel about our values. We’re a company that spans many countries and cultures, and values are hugely important to us.
But when you boil it down, there are just four simple things that guide us.

o Do what’s Right
o Challenge Boundaries
o Cooperative Spirit
o Make it Happen

Quotes from Current Graduates in response to the question "What are the positives of the job and employer?"

“The Highlights of the Grad program was building lasting relationships with a bunch of new people who were also doing the technical program, the challenges I was given during my placements at the manufacturing plants and learning about the manufacture of all of the different product groups that milk goes into.
My favourite placement was at Tip Top as I was given a project which was to redesign one of the Popsicles for which I was able to use the knowledge I gained during my degree in a practical application.”

“My time in the graduate programme was an awesome experience of meeting people across the business spectrum, visiting different corporate and manufacturing sites and building lasting contacts with the other graduates in the programme. The highlight for me was an opportunity to share some drinks and nibbles with the Fonterra Executive team and have a very open talk about their experiences, careers and what was happening in the company.”

“The Fonterra Graduate Technical Programme (FGTP) is hugely exciting, and through it I have made lifelong friends, and met some truly amazing people. In such a short time I have been exposed to a large chunk of the dairy industry, and have gained the skills and knowledge required to kick start my career as a professional engineer.”
