Type of Organisation
Federal Government Agency
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency. Our role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life. The NDIS will help people with disability achieve their goals, including independence, community involvement, education, employment and health and wellbeing. Our priority is to ensure that people with disability continue to get the support they need. We need dedicated and motivated people working with us to make this happen.
