Locations where there are vacancies for graduates 

Optus Early Career opportunities are based out of our Sydney Headquarters located in Macquarie Park. Our offices are spread across 6 buildings overlooking a picturesque garden and pond with facilities including gym, multicultural faith rooms, cafés, eateries as well as Australia post on site.

 

Residency requirements for Graduates wishing to apply

Australian Citizens, New Zealand citizens and Permanent Residents.

Roles available for Graduates 

We offer a range of Early Career programs including our signature Graduate Program, Internships, Bespoke Cadetships & Scholarship programs.    

  • Winter Internship: 3-6 months long running from July – December  

  • Summer Internship: 12 weeks long running from November – February  

  • Graduate program: Optus Graduate program is a two year rotation-based program, commencing in February every year and is a permanent opportunity from day dot. This program is designed to develop graduates into productive problem solvers who draw on personal excellence; business and technical capabilities to deliver high-impact business outcomes.  

Our Graduate program is divided into two distinctive streams and will see our graduates undertaking rotations in different teams of their home business units:

 

  • Corporate Program: designed with teams in Marketing & Revenue, Television and Content, Finance, Risk, Enterprise Business, People & Culture, Regulatory & Public Affairs, Finance, Customer Success and Customer Solutions teams and includes 3-4 rotations, ranging from 6-8 months.

  • Tech Talent Incubator program: designed with teams in IT, Networks, Data, Cyber Transformation (additional placements in Enterprise Business, Satellite and Customer Success) and includes 2 x 12 months rotations.



Degree subjects required for Graduates wishing to apply

  • We welcome a broad spectrum of degree disciplines, ensuring a rich tapestry of skills and perspectives. Whether you hold a Certificate level qualification, a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or even a Master's degree, your journey to make a real impact starts with us.

  • We welcome qualifications from diverse fields, including but not limited to Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Network Engineering, Marketing, Arts, IT, Computer Science, Design, Human Resource Management, Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Science.

  • For our 2025 Graduate Program, we encourage applications from individuals who have completed their education in 2022, 2023 or 2024.
